Vote now for Thorntons’ Great Chocolate Britain!
Thursday 6th September 2012
Voting is now open for Thorntons’ Great Chocolate Britain competition and we can’t wait to see which flavour is chosen.
Thorntons asked chocolate fanatics across the country to come up with a chocolate based on a flavour that they feel best represents their region, and out of hundreds of entries, Thorntons chocolatiers have chosen three for each region, which are now awaiting judgement from the Great British public. Flavours range from Kendal Mint Cake and Lincolnshire Plum Loaf to Grasmere Gingerbread, all of which are guaranteed to be a hit with Britain’s chocolate lovers, but which will you decide is the best?
Thorntons’ Master Chocolatier Keith Hurdman has been really impressed by the creativity of some of the entries and explains: ‘Many of the entries really made us smile as people have been so creative with their ideas and are clearly passionate about them. It’s been great to hear from people all across Britain and to learn about some of the flavours regions are famous for. We're really excited about the final three we have chosen for each region and it's over to the public now to pick their favourite.'
Voting closes on the 14th September, and the lucky 11 finalists will be announced shortly after, each receiving an invitation to Thornton Park in Derbyshire where they’ll bring their chocolate creations to life with the help of the Thorntons chocolatiers. The overall winner will be announced during Chocolate Week, with the winning chocolate being launched into Thorntons’ Chocolate Block range, the creator winning a year’s supply of chocolate!
To ensure the flavour you love the most wins, don’t forget to vote online at www.thorntons.co.uk/greatchocolatebritain
